I got a PS2 for Christmas and I was wondering what would you suggest if I'd played and like the games in the past based on what I played and don't like?
Played and love:
All spyro games of PS1
Sonic
Chrono Cross
Legend of Dragoon
FFVII
FFVIII
Mario games(I've played as a kid)
Croc(I forgot the actual name but it was cute)
Jak and Daxter I liked even though it was a challenge
Myst games
The Sims (pc version)
Need for Speed games(ps 1)
Played and didn't care for or didn't like:
Kingdom Hearts games
Driver
Haven't played but hate:
any violent and horror games
any graphic and bloody shooter games
any explicit sexual games
zombie games
What are your suggestions =)
Recommend and suggest games ONLY for PS2 thanks!

Final Fantasy X and XII (RPG)
Dragon Quest VIII (RPG)
Star Ocean - Till the End of Time (RPG)
Shadow of the Colossus (action/adventure)
Ico (adventure)
Ratchet and Clank (action/platformer in the style of Jak and Daxter, any of the R&C series is good, so start with the 1st one)
They are all T rated, and really fun.

There is Final Fantast 10, 11 and 12 for Playstation 2.
As for the Sims, I personally have played it on the Playstation 2 and it's just not as good as it is on the PC. Maybe rent it and see what you think before you buy. That works really well for all games... If you like the style of Final Fantasy, you should check out Xenosaga...it's a little more Science Fiction but a really good game.

You wont find any nintendo games on the PS2, but the Need for Speed games are preety cool. My favorites are NFS Underground 2, and Most Wanted. Don't get NFS Carbon; it sucks. Tony Hawk's games are cool to. (All except Project 8. It's only good on the 360.) My favorite games which look like you might not like is the Gran Theft Auto series.
If you are unsure about a game rent it first. I'd rather spend 4 dollars more on a game to make sure I'll like it, than spend 50 on a bad one.

i enjoyed max payne 1 and 2 immensely and any of the medal of honor series are worth a look.
