How can I get them to stop ringing that bell alllllll the time? There has to be a law or something about how long they can continuosly ring....I would give more if they would lay off a bit...I swear I feel like drop kicking some of them....they have skills though, they can take your money without missing a ring....

You can not get them to stop. At least they don't verbally ask and beg people like other people and organizations in front of store's.

Shame on you. The Salvation Army does such wonderful work and helps so many people.

From the Salvation Army's website on 'Ringing the Bell'

"You hear them on street corners or outside stores. The sound is distinctive. It’s a sound of hope. A sound of caring. It’s the sound of The Salvation Army bellringer heralding the season. As if a voice for the silent, the hurting, The Salvation Army bell rings out, declaring they’re not forgotten. You can help restore hope to the hopeless, bring comfort to the hurting and a respite to the weary by taking part in The Salvation Army Christmas effort. The Salvation Army offers many opportunities for you to make the season brighter for families and individuals in need."

IMO, I hope they let the Bell ring out loudly!! What they represent is well worth 'hearing' the bell!!!

Where do you work? In a store that has a bell ringer outside of it? I guess you could talk to them or try calling the SA and find out.

Those people volunteer their time to collect money for those who need help during the holidays. If ringing a bell for a good cause pisses you off, then you need to take a deep look at your self.

Why are you hanging out it front of stores? Why don't you go inside to shop like most normal people and then you don't hear it. Annoying as it may be, it gets your attention.
