I bought a dress which is pretty but am not too sure how to make it less 'formal' when attending a church wedding. It's a tube dress that is black with big red flowers as prints. The style of the dress is 'soft' but the colours are rather dark/bold and seems more suitable for a night out rather than a 'day' dress.

Could anyone please tell me how I cld make the dress look more suitable for day-wear? Shld I accessorise to make it look less formal?

Help! I don't want to look out of place and it's the first time my bf's entire family would be meeting me. The dress is pretty and compliments my figure but am afraid that I would look out of place as the colors of the dress could make it more suitable for a night's out.

You can tone down the boldness of this dress by pairing it with a black jacket or a nice soft black sweater, be sure to button at least the center button of either. This will take care of the red at the top. To calm down the bottom part of the dress, wear black hose and black shoes. This way, the red is just like an accent piece. I'm thinking silver jewelry will also soften the look a little bit, but not a lot of jewelry. Enjoy, relax.

the only element i'd probable (and that's barely a possibly) upload would be an excellent crop jacket. returned, it somewhat is a huge possibly. except your hair holds curls fairly fairly nicely, with that length you may evaluate a sort it somewhat is greater comfortable. Then because of the fact the load of the hair starts to drag the curls out by using out the day/ evening, it heavily isn't as glaring. My hair replaced into very nearly to my knees till I shrink it off for Locks of affection a pair of months in the past. i comprehend something with an honest curl would fall out in decrease than an hour or 2. something greater comfortable or in part up would nevertheless look styled longer with my hair. The outfit it self sounds super! i think of you would be plenty formal.

Team it up with a Jacket or cardi and of course a hat or head peice. also dont accessorise to much this can often look cheap. As long as you dont wear white to a wedding then you should be ok, dont worry to much.

get a sheen like wrap to go around you in a much lighter colour which will solve the night out fit thing (and matching accessories of course) but as for the formal thing? it is a wedding. sounds fine to me.

throw on a nice white soft material jacket, some long beaded pearls, and matching shoes to offset the bold

can you team it up with some paler colours, like a cream cardigan/jacket and maybe a hat?

then in the evening you will be ok to go darker.
