It is difficult to just purchase individual keys for the laptop. I searched, but was unable to find any.

However, it is very easy to replace the laptop keyboard. I have linked one of the keyboards that I found AND I have linked the help topics for your computer. Click on "manuals" then save/download the service manual.

You will first want to remove the grill located above the keyboard. (This has the "Presario 2100" name plate attached.) Remove the screws attached to the back side of this grill at the hinge. Pry the grill up with a screwdriver starting from the right hand corner. Once the grill is out, remove the screws attaching the keyboard. Once done, just pull out the keyboard. The keyboard is attached by a ribbon cable which does not clip in.

To reinstall the keyboard, just reverse the process.

Good luck!

By now you should be able to type without looking at the letters.

But if you feel you really need them - white paint and a very thin brush.

You can also contact the company and get replacement keys - or buy a cheap keyboard and attach it to the laptop for use at home.

Buy a new computer. If your letters are wearing off that's a good sign that your computer is old.
