Yeah ... there was this time when I was little I was running in Tower Records and I slipped & fell into the albums & got a copy of James Brown Greatest Hits, Vol 1 stuck in my head, right over my left eyebrow for a few days before they could remove it.

Oh my Lord GEM ... I swear to you I've had that EXACT same song stuck in my head before too. Although I absolutely LOVE it ... it drove me nutty. But I'm a musicia so I have to have music on all the time and if I don't I tend to torture myself like that! lol
I remember one time I had the song "Mexico" by Garth Brooks doing this exact thing in my brain only I kept singing it over and over again while I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner one year. Finally, my boyfriend (at the time) steps in front of me and says,"If you sing that song one more time ... I'm going to send YOU to Mexico!"
LOL ... I wasn't even aware that I had been singing so long it had become completely annoying to everyone else. Talk about lost in a song ... Sheesh!
Peace to you ...

GEM, I often find myself singing the same song in my mind when I'm not listening to music, but I listen to music so often that I rarely have a song going over and over in my head to the point where I notice it. I listen to music as much as I can, including as I try to fall asleep, otherwise my thoughts would keep me awake longer than they already do!
But James Taylor's songs are good ones to have going over and over in your head for days... so is the name 'James' ;-)

Carrie Underwood's song tells us that love is very important.

This past summer for about 3 weeks the song about the roof being on fire was lodged....
It's annoying as crap huh?

Yes, and I hate that because it is usually one that I want out of my head. LOL I used to sing a silly song to my daughter and she would tell me to stop because it would then be stuck in her poor little head all day.

I didn't but now I am! You know what really urks me? Some of the TV car commercials and their silly jingles. I can't mute them fast enough!! They get so repetitive they become annoying! They are so negative, I wouldn't buy their products even if I liked them!
