You know, it is really something to have a politician literally make you like him. At first, I was for Mitt Romney. Then I became an Obama fan. I still do like Obama, but Huckabee has an honesty about him that is real. It is hard to pretend like Hillary, for it takes too much energy. Huckabee is not really trying to win. He spent next to nothing in Iowa because he is allowing who he is to speak for himself. I am not faulting him for one mistake he made while governor. What about the thousands made by the other candidates? I can see him leading the PACK in a few months if not weeks.

I think Huckabee is a great communicator but I'm not so sure he will be tough on illegal Aliens.

No, not at all. Huckabee is not a fiscal conservative.. He has a record of tax hikes (an estimated half a billion dollars) and favoring amnesty for illegal immigrants (including supporting a measure giving them drivers licenses).. he was already under investigation for ethics violations and his pardoning of a rapist will come back to haunt him. In a prior debate he stated that he would enter a war with Iran without the consent of Congress and if elected he will raise taxes and sink the US into more debt..

People need to do research instead of relying on surface impressions.

I voted for huckabee for governor of Arkansas and was very disappointed in his job performance. He raised taxes, pushed for special benefits for illegals and their children and had our school children's bmi handed out with their report cards. He made numerous mistakes a gov and sincerely lied through them all.

As I have heard him campaign for president I have been amazed at how sincere he sounds as he lies. If I didn't know him better I could be sucked into being one of his followers. But, I have seen him at work and I have seen how he deceitfully lies about his positions and things he has done in the past. I understand positions changing over months and years or after an "ah ha" moment that can be pointed to as being life changing, but he seems to change as the wind does.

I really would like to be able to support him, because he is a good communicator and does seem to be a likeable "good old boy". But, I know he can't be trusted and he is the best, most effective liar I have ever seen.

Compare what he says with what he has done before you let him suck you into being one of his followers. Here is a link to find out what he had done http://www.clubforgrowth.org/2007/01/a_report_on_mike_huckabees_fis.php

I like Huckabee--he seems like a genuinely good man. His speaking style, and "down home" freshness reminds me a lot of the last Southern Baptist we elected to the Presidency: Jimmy Carter. He too was a genuinely nice guy. Unfortunately, he made a lousy President. That's how I see Huckabee, a geniunely nice guy who seriously lacks the organizing ability, the leadership, and the talent needed to lead our nation.
Yesterday, I heard Mitt Romney's speech on Religion in America. That was absolutely an excellent example of a leader I'd like in the WhiteHouse!
We're not trying to elect the nicest guy. We're trying to elect the man that can lead us in a time of war, and ultimately lead us to the safety of peace.
While you seem to have switched from Romney to Huckabee, I've now switched the otherway.
May God bless America.

This morning on the radio, quinn and rose were talking about how huckabee has ties to mafias and mobs.

Saying, the truth will come out in the next couple months.

I don't know personally. But I'm not jumping on the bandwagon yet.

Huckabee is a great man of integrity. You are currently seeing what a smear campaign is with the Dumond case.
The governor is awesome because he can agree with both parties. He is the first republican in history to receive the education endorsement in New Hampshire. He has championed Education and the environment.

Seriously, he is the man and seems to be charging ahead of everyone else. Even Hillary!

PS> Check out his stance on immigration! He isn't soft at all!!!

I agree! He's also the only one up there that isn't a millionaire. The most money he ever made in his life was in his Governor's job. He also doesn't seem to need the ga-zillion dollars the other candidates do to get his message out. That must mean it's a compelling and honest one. Seems he's just a regular guy that could be my neighbor.

I LIKE MIKE

I'm not sure. I haven't made up my mind. At first I liked Rudy, but I am not certain what he believes about gun control.

But Huckabee is looking better and better to me.

I lived in Arkansas while he was governor. He raised taxes by 210% and gas prices nearly doubled. Oh yeah...and then there's that rape case.......
