ok heres the deal i cant legally own any kind of crocodilian in my state so my question is what kind of reptile can i get that is as close to a crocdilian as possible?

Aquatic reptiles include crocs, turtles, and some snakes.
Some lizars can skim over water but they cannot be deemed to be aquatic.
