What's wrong with the way we speak?

It's spelt biscuits not bisquits and trainers sounds an awful lot better than sneakers or whatever you guys call them...

If 'trainers' sounds childish what does 'sneakers' sound like?
Bit creepy!!!! LOL
and the word is 'biscuit' which is the English name for your equally childish 'cookie'.
Personally it doesn't bother me that Americans have changed some of the English Language I can normally guess what words mean.
Talking of 'cute' or should I say odd? why do you call Petrol and Diesel fuel (which are liquids) GAS?

How about Chips - in England they are fried and eaten hot - in America they come pre-packed (and the English call them Crisps).
Or Fender = Bumper in England
Trunk = Boot

talk about divided by a common language!!!

I love the way they talk. I watch the movie "Bridget Jones' Diary" and "Sideways" just to listen to their British slang. I think it's not only cute but a little sexy.

Its you.

Does "Sneakers" really make more sense than "Trainers" ? Incidentally, in Ireland they call them "Runners".

And biscuits is not spelt with a q.
