I just had my second child and would like to wait three to four years before having another since I have two under two. I am looking into a IUD, but am unsure if I would like Paraguard or Mirena more. I didn't want to do hormonal control, but Paraguard has been known to cause longer bleeding and I already have heavy period. Any advice?

Have you thought of Depo Provera. Its an injection you recieve every 12 weeks and is one of the most effective forms of contraception. It also has the benefit of stopping periods completely in most women, so that would certianly help with the hassle of heavy periods.

Have a look here for some more information on it:

If you don't want hormonal control, depo is the worst thing you could do. Horrible stuff.

Look into natural family planning and also a device called the ovu-tech.

I do not recommend depo provera, it is horrible IMO

Check out the reviews below for a decent nonhormonal contraceptive.
