YES. It is too late to stop pregnancy by taking BC pills. They are meant to be taken every day to KEEP FROM getting pregnant. They are not for terminating a pregnancy. You say ONLY 2 or 3 weeks pregnant..pregnant is pregnant. You now have a life growing inside you. If you don't want to keep the baby, you have the option of having an abortion or giving it up for adoption.

birth control pills only work to prevent pregnancy if your already pregnant and you don't want the child the only way is to have an abortion. You can have a chemical abortion before 9 weeks which is where you take two pills. It's your choice to either keep the baby or go through with an abortion but in the future you need to know that birth control pills need to be taken regulary and on time to prevent pregnancy correctly.

I remember hearing that taking more than one (I don't know what number, exactly) birth control pill the next day after having unprotected sex would work as emergency contraception. RU-486 which is a concentrated birth control pill meant to force your uterus to empty. This can work up to 8 weeks, but I don't know what dosage that is, I'm sure it's higher than a few BC pills, but I wouldn't play around with it. If you do it wrong, you could cause very serious birth defects, which you really don't want to deal with. Go to your Local Planned Parenthood to better understand what's going on.

Spot bleeding can be implantation bleeding when the ovum burrows into the uterine lining.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. You must be very shocked considering that you were on birth control.

How you spoken to the father? I hope that he can stand by in this difficult time.

You do have several options that a doctor can discuss with you. But something that you must realise is that " What done is done" Now we just have to find a way to move forward for everyone.

There are soo many support groups out there for women in your position who have gone through the same thing and can counsel you.

I'm sorry that I couldn't be more helpful. My sister did have an unplanned pregnancy and three years down the line, everything worked out very well.

You're welcome to email me if you want to vent. jackieleeod@yahoo.com

Of course its too late! Birth control pills are there to STOP you getting pregnant in the first place. You need to go to the doctors and discuss your options.

Go to your doctor NOW, do not delay to discuss your options. If you feel that a termination is the right choice for you, your GP can arrange that. Up to 9 weeks you can get an early medical abortion. Generally after that, the nhs only offer a surgical abortion. If you go private, they offer a medical abortion up to 20 weeks. It's expensive though, and costs over £1000.

yes it is too late.. i find it so unfair that so many people desperately want a baby and the ones who dont, get pregnant, perhaps you should look into adoption if your not ready, for gods sake dont kill your baby think of all the women who would give anything to have the miracle you carry, oh and if you didnt want to be pregnant you shouldnt have had sex
