Quartzite is harder than its parent rock quartz sandstone, because in quartzite, the quartz has been altered and recrystallised, forming the cement between the quartz grains. In sandstone, the cement is often other minerals such as clay minerals or siderite (iron carbonate).

you see.. the quartzite gets very hard after every 3rd year when the moon is at its peek. its parent rock has six dynaflow resistant shades that can never run away,
