Well, that's quite a hard question for me to answer really!
I left home at 15 and from then on worked my as* off to pay for every thing i needed! I never went on the dole or had help paying my rent! I had to struggle alot and it really made me grow up fast!
I finished my GCSE´s but never had the chance to do any further education due to money and time!
So too be honest at that time i HAD to be an adult, i didn't have any choice to do all the stuff other 16, 17 ,18,19 and 20 year olds get to do, since responsibility's started piling up!
Sometimes i wish that i had had it easy like some others but at the end of the day, going through what i have has made me the woman i am now!
I am only 20 and i would consider myself an adult! And proud of it!

Who said I was an adult?
I'm 25 going on 7 and proud of it! I'm all serious at work, but when I relax I'm like a big kid. I love being immature whilst having fun!!!
I still watch Saturday/Sunday morning cartoons and play games on my X-box 360. Sometimes I'm like a kid that can legally get drunk.

After taking care of all my responsibilities of family, work-pressures and what-have-you ...
I love cartoon network as much as I love CNBC
I like to read comic books as much as I like technical manuals
I love to play with kids and am actually a kid in their company
I still feel that if I see the right star and wish upon it - my wish will come true.
... so am I an adult or not. I DON'T KNOW!!
Would you care to tell me once your research onto adulthood is over??
By age, I am well into my thirties ... but as they say - "What's age got to do with it".

I think it was when I was on my first tour of duty in N.Ireland in 1972 and fought my first gun battle just off the lisburn road in Belfast. I certainly felt grown up and could justifiably claim to be an adult when that tour ended. I was 20 years old, then.
