Not to be like them especially to my children..my dad was never around and my mom is a total nutjob..always verbally abused me and was physical when I was small :( Not cool!

FORGIVENESS...they treated me like sh*t and I left them. But I realized that I hated them...I didn't want that in my heart...so I forgave them. We don't have a relationship anymore coz seeing them makes me remember how everything felt...but I'm happiest now that I've forgiven them =)
