Fresh garlic is a natural antibiotic, and very healthy because it cleans your blood. Don't believe what people say about garlic making you smell bad. It's absolutely not true. After you brush your teeth, just brush your tongue thoroughly and deeply with mouthwash and you'll never have a problem. Actually, because garlic cleanses your insides, in the long run, you end up smelling fresh and clean. Each morning, eat a FRESH garlic clove. It tastes very strong so you might want to eat it with a slice of bread and cheese. Just cut the clove into slithers, place them on the bread and cover with cheese. It actually tastes good that way. If you can, have another clove at dinner. Remember, cooked garlic is worthless as an antibiotic.

Also, drink ginger juice. Buy ginger root at your grocery store in the vegetable section, (ask your grocer for it, if you don't know where it is), cut 5 quater inche slices, add to a pot with 2 cups of water, bring to a boil and then let simmer for 20 minutes. Drink while still warm. If you don't like the taste, you can mix with other juices or tea. Or simply add a little brown sugar. Hope this helps. Good luck!

If it is a bacterial infection then you will eventually get over it as your body fights the infection. There may be some permanent damage however as it will take much time and misery. Menthol may help as an inhaler to keep the passages clear. If it is a virus then antibiotics will not work.

I have 3 kids, from 23 to 13. We have NEVER used antibiotics. For instance: Sinus infections are more frequent when the heat is turned on drying the air. The bugs causing sinus (and ear) infections attack the coolest parts of the body. Fever makes the bugs go pinchers up. Use heat over the sinuses, humidify the air. Moist heat is best, not a hair drier. Too abrasive. Use a big hot water bottle for ear infections, smaller container for sinuses. Works best at 1st sign of infection. Also massaging and milking lymph nodes aids in drainage. Great for the ear infections.

Stay away from antibiotics unless you wanbt to lower your resistance and create super bugs.

Unfortunately, if you are an antibiotic junky, your body may not be able to respond adequately,,.maybe this info will help others though.

Sorry your qquestion wasn't more specific, because this won't work for deep infections as in colitis, Gangrene etc.

You need antibiotics. But before they had those, they used garlic, which will be applied locally to a sinus infection only with greatest diffculty.

Two solutions I recommend:

The immediate fix is a mix of Elderberry/ Echinacea. I took this the first time and I was over my sinus infection in 48 hours. Good immediate fix if you catch it in time as it assists the body in repelling the invader by impairing its reproduction and building the immune system.

Long term so you do not get ill again -
1) GlycoNutrients - improve cellular communication to allow your body to respond to infections/sickness quicker.
2) PhytoNutritents - give your body the missing nutrients for raw materials to heal from illness
3) AntiOxidants - help you body defend against future attacks of this sort. (I suggest AntiOxidants with an ORAC of over 10,000)
4) PhytoSterols - Help body regulate more effectively

If it's a bacterial infection then you should be using antibiotics (preferable one that the bugs you've got aren't resistant to).

Evidence based medicine is a good idea so that's what you should be using, not the less effective and more expensive quackery that tends to get promoted here.

Echinacea (available at natural health stores) is a really good immune system booster.
I hate antibiotics too. Ask your local health store what they recommend.

Grapefruit Seed Oil....it is DIFFERENT that Grapeseed Oil. Go to the local vitamin store and find it. I treated my daughter's abscess tooth with it when we couldn't get to a dentist. It works just like an antibiotic.
