hell yes!! It's an over-commercialized crock of shite designed to make people spend money they haven't got on presents other people don't want or think they need. It starts around mid-october for some reason, goes on for two months and makes eBay a fortune in fees when millions of people try to buy the must-have item of the year.
But the worst bit?
Half the media and a good size of our population get all holier than thou and start telling us we should think of those less fortunate than ourselves and give to the needy and homeless at this time of year.
REALLY? Where the f**k have you been for the other 364 days of the year when these people were just as homeless and needy as they are now?
Bah, humbug? Abso-f**king-lutely.

Do you know why he feels that way about it? It could be that he just hates the commercialized part of it, if so then i agree with him, but i still love Christmas as for me its a time to spend with the peaple i love the most. Maybe you can find out how he'd like to spend his Christmas?

If you mean CHRISTmas then yes, I feel like that about the commercialism and hype. The true meaning got lost a long time ago.
I am not religious but hate the word 'xmas' and consider it an affront to the true identity of the person to whom it relates.

No, but I know several peopl who feel that way. They have varying reasons for it. Like "Grandpa died 3 days before Christmas, so it's still hard" or "It never made sense to me why we wait for one day a year to tell our family we love them". But I LOVE Christmas time!

Pretty much. It is really just for children and even they are bombarded with so much stuff these days that they don't appreciate it. Also it highlights loneliness for a lot of people.
