Thanks a lot OJ. It all started with OJ. After OJ, there's been this continual search for the sensational crime to cover.

Wouldn't you rather the press devote their time to uncovering waste, fraud, and abuse in government?

You're right.
But sadly, right is sometimes boring.
Crime news sells and today, thats what counts.
Its wrong.

This started with newspapers covering them back before most people had TV sets. Since newspapers only came out once a day it wasn't ad nauseam. Cable channels are on 24/7 and there is only so much news so it gets covered over and over.

personally I like to know, but I am a criminal justice major so that may be the reason for liking to know about crimes.

My cousin was reported missing in September and her body was found in October in the desert in Tuscon, AZ and I wish they had more to report on her case. The Peterson case is definitely overshadowing it. Her name was Tracy Feltes.
