I'm 13 years old and the only kind of music I like is all of that old rock stuff. At my age, shouldn't I be listening to all of that new rap and pop crap? I like the odd pop music every now and then, but my favourite bands include:

Aerosmith (my fav.)
The Who
INXS
AC-DC
Eiffel 65

Please tell me is there is something wrong with me.

No there is nothing wrong with that and in fact it's becoming very common these days, especially considering the music they have out these days isn't that great. Just know that you're not alone. When I was 13, I was listening to the Beatles and The Who! Now my little brother who is 10, listens to the Who nonstop.

No, judging by the people who post comments on You Tube videos of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and the like saying how old they are. It's good that you have good taste in music. But each era has their timeless bands (I would say the for the naughties it was the White Stripes, the Killers, and Kings of Leon) and their poppy bubblegum bands (1990s -- Backstreet Boys, 1980s -- Tiffany, 1970s -- Village People). I got into classic rock because my baby boomer parents listened to it. I would spend hours listening to their old LPs. But I also got into the music they were rebelling against, like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Armstrong. Good music is good music, no matter how old it is or you are.

Not at all my friend. You may even come across some original recordings instead of some pop pap cover. All though the Foo Fighters version of Band On The Run (Wings) is a great cover.

Obviously not...
Some of the songs in the past have a lotta meaning.
I listened to both current and old songs. Wow, you're a fan of Aerosmith? I liked their song "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing". It's awesome!!! I also like Sum 41, Lifehouse, Keane, Cartel, Smash Mouth and many more.
The current songs are awesome too...Fergie, Akon, Gwen Stefani, Maroon 5, Linkin Park, Nelly Furtado, PCD, The All-American Rejects...Music is my life!
There's a lot of awesome songs, but different people have diferent tastes dude!

There is nothing wrong with you..in fact, I think there is something wrong with the people who listen to all that crap they call music today (not every new song is crap...but wow some of that pop is just plain horrible).

There's nothing wrong with you, you just enjoy incredibly awesome music.

Why would you think that something is wrong with you? You listen to a good old music. Not every teenager has to listen to Rap, R&B... Go ahead & be yourself. Being yourself & listening what you like makes you cool.

Nothing at all wrong with The Who, but Aerosmith?

Dividing music into "new" and "old" is not the best way to go about things, especially when the oldest band you listed is only 43 (a relatively short amount of time in musical history), and the newest one isn't even ten years old yet.

i've never heard of those bands but there's nothing wrong with you. you're just the kind of person who's into that old school music. some people are and that's ok.
