I have a Problem with my computer and tv hook up?
can I hook my computer to my TV? I need to know what the cable looks like or at least what it is or what it is called.... Thank you

I need to know how to hook my computer to my TV. I would like to know what kind of cable to use and what it looks like ext. Thank you so much

Your computer would have to have an RCA jack or a SVideo jack on it. Also your TV should have at least the Svideo connector on it. If your computer does not have those jacks you need to get a PC to TV converter box , because you just can't take the signal from a vga port and just hook it up to your TV. Depends on the computer and TV. Best advice is check out the manufacturer website, if no luck then give them a call. I would suggest a USB cable - but it does depend on your computer.

ur tv must hace a pc input to accept an external display if it has u need to connect a cable to ur computers display out and then to the tvs pc input which should have the 2 little screws to secure it as on a computer.

If you go this route you'll prob'ly have to change your screen resolution. (it is easiest to set up another user account with the altered res)(TV's have a lower res than monitors). Your comp must have a sound/vid card that has outputs on them - preferably phono plugs - and your TV must have connections that you can plug the output from your sound and vid from your comp into.
