I actually witnessed the event in question. I was outraged!! I started to explain that if one green bottle should accidentally fall, there'd be 9 green bottles hanging on the wall. That's NINE GREEN BOTTLES HANGING ON THE WALL. Nine green bottles hanging on the wall, but if one green bottle should accidentally fall, there'd be 8 green bottles hanging on the wall. That's EIGHT green bottles hanging on the wall.

Now you have me confused were they hanging or sitting. Or was it the two little Dickie birds that sat on the wall. I do remember that Humptey fell of the wall and the spider climbed up the spout and Little Jack Horner sat in the corner. Oh and the mouse ran up the clock.

Not me, but I know the guy that did. I did tell him that if one of these bottles were to fall there would be glass everywhere and someone could hurt themselves but all he did was laugh
