Can 6 children not related concoct a story, and for 25yrs
keep up the pretence,
But that story brought hope and peace to others,
Is it possible that one''
would break and spill the beans after so long,
and would it be possible that guilt would be the main faction
for coming clean
please give me your answers

Because it brought hope and peace some of the 'children' would probably be able to live with that. But if it was a story that I suspect somebody might feel guilty about then one or more would more than likely spill the beans. Some people are strong willed but others cannot live with guilt and secrets and have to let it out.

Yes kids do it all the time, but how would it bring peace to others........and the guilt factor leads me to believe it wasn't a concocted story but an agreed code of silence for something that was wrong, so peer pressure would then be involved and after 25 yrs that pressure has gone, so now the guilty party needs to find release.................don't mention it.

I believe it is possible to keep up the story for so long if there was no suspicion at the time and there stories only had to be kept simple.
I have no idea whether they pushed him or he did genuinely slip trying to retrieve the climbing equipment but it seems a strange thing for such an experienced climber to even attempt to try and get it back.

Are you one of the six? If you are and you feel like coming clean to ease your mind then by all means do so. But if you have been mute about it for 25 yrs why the guilt now?

depends what the story was about, for 6 children to keep it up for that long i would be amazed there was no slip ups,
