I own a 2002 es300, with 89000 miles. Recently, I have been having to go to the gas station a lot more. I have a digital mileage reader, that tells me how much gas I have left. And it goes down really quickly. What can be the problem?..feel like I am driving a Hummer!!..I mainly drive it in city. The car is suppose to have 22 mpg, but by my calculation, its only 16.. WHATS THE PROBLEM!!!

When was the last time your fuel filter and spark plugs were changed? Crypt is right about the belts and spark plug wires, it is time to get those replaced too. Dirty air filter will affect your gas mileage. I drive over 300 miles a week, and my car is taken in and inspected every time I get an oil change so I can get 240 mile to a half a tank of gas.

It all depends on driving conditions. How you drive the car and how much traffic there may be at the time you are on the road. If you are driving the same way today as you where last fill up. Then there may be a small problem. Tune up. oil change. tire pressure. Air filters. Possible sensor going bad. Etc.
