I am completely against doing things like that during pregnancy or at all but I will say this: Most people in the past smoked and drank through their whole pregnancy without even knowing that it was dangerous and those kids are my parent's age. My parents weren't sick or anything. So, I have to say that it can cause problems but they probably won't be serious. In the past though, when babies had problems, they didn't know that smoking and drinking was to blame, now they will blame any problem on their smoking.

If you think the child's life is in jeopardy you should call DCF, FIA, whatever they call it where you are. I know it's hard to do to a family member, but you seem to be the only one considering this childs life right now. Maybe getting DCF involved with help them grow the hell up and start acting like real parents.

I would report them to social services if they don't stop what they are doing after the baby is born.
