If I was in Star Fleet I would be an officer,a Commander,First Officer of a star ship.My department would be Science with a specialty in astronomy and interstellar navigation.I would be absolutely loyal to my Captain,the ship's crew,and the mission of Star Fleet.I would not love the ship itself,for only a Captain could do that.For me,the ship would have no soul.It is merely a mechanical device,a means to an end.My love would be reserved for the universe that surrounds the ship and for the Creator who made the stars.It would be my privilege to die in space.The remains of a Star Fleet officer belong amongst the stars,not on a planet covered by dirt.There will indeed be a Star Fleet in the future.Dreaming about it now will help to make it happen.

I would be a Captain, Command Devision, and I would be the commanding officer of the most heavily armed exploratory ship in Starfleet. I'm actually writing a Star Trek TV series right now so it's kinda ironic that you'd ask. That's the internet for you.
