It's about this girl who moves into this loft like apartment and discovers a ouija board in her closet. She starts to play with the ouija board and communicates with the girl who lived in the apartment before her. The dead girl kind of starts to possess her and plots her revenge through her I think. Just the title of the movie would work!

WITCHBOARD (1986)
starring Tawny Kitaen

Here is a really great site for the movie!

The premise of "Witchboard" is rather simple; an evil and angry spirit comes through a Ouija board and takes
possession of an unsuspecting person. The film is given much more weight in giving characters a chance to
develop beyond the standard victims. Jim (Todd Allen) and Linda (Tawny Kitaen) are a young couple who have separate history with Brandon Sinclair (Stephen Nichols). With Jim, they were once best friends; and, with Linda, they used to be lovers. One night at a party, Brandon brings over a Ouija board and talks Linda into using it with him. Linda gradually becomes more and more obsessed with the board, and the initially harmless and friendly spirit becomes increasingly violent and sadistic. It falls on Jim and Brandon to cast aside all of their differences (and in Jim’s case, his many skepticisms) and try and find a solution to the possession as a body count begins to pile up and Linda becomes increasingly dangerous.

My favorite quote from this and just about any movie is:
"Just a little psychic humor!" This film made my mom and me a Kathleen Wilhoite fan. When there's a psychic on TV, either Mom or I will quip, "Just a little psychic humor!" and laugh as goofily as she does as the offbeat advisor about the supernatural.

I think I have a copy of this film somewhere in my vast videotape collection. I found that I can pack up to four films on one tape if they're about 90 minutes each.

Did you know there is a trilogy? They are:
Witchboard
Witchboard II: The Devil's Doorway
Witchboard III: The Possession
I've heard there are others, but I haven't tracked them down yet. Here's some more information:

I left more information, just in case anyone is interested in investigating this film and the others. Actually, I thought I was first responder. When I finished, I saw that isn't so. Oh well...
