For me i add people who's questions or answers i like. What about you guys?

But there are many other reasons why I might add them - the attitude they show and the language they use when they answer questions. I usually look at a few of their answers and sometimes look at profile - to get a feel of who they are before I decide to add them.
Once I feel comfortable that they will be ok for a contact then I will add them.
I am quite selective when it comes to contact , but I guess I am cautious because adding then delete because I don't like them can be more hurtful than not add them in the first place.

I have added as my contacts all those who have answered many questions and also around 10% of them are best answers. So I thought their questions also will be better, and that is how I am getting 100s of questions into my In box everyday.

I rarely make first contact, only if there is a reason.
If someone adds me, I check their questions, to see if they are the type I want to answer.
I also see if I have answered any.
Now I also check that they have a contact available, preferably email.

Same, I like their questions and/or answers, I usually wait awhile before I add someone though...to see what kind of person they are and check out their profiles.

Their questions and answers. Whether or not they have a sense of humor is very important in a contact atleast to me.

normally i'd add someone with nice answers and questions, someone i really want to answer their questions again.

well i havnt added anyone yet...but if i did...it would be for the same reason as you. i did add someone after they added me but only to be nice and then i deleated them once i found out all they wanted was bad
