Is this cheating??

Question

My friend just called me and told me that she just kissed a man. Just kissing and nothing else. But of course french kissing that is!
She is married. She said that it was just the excitement that push her to kiss another man. The fact that he was new and stuff. IS this cheating?? I told her YES. But she insisist that it's NOT!!

I called her back and asked if she told her husband. She said "heck no, are you kidding me"

So there's the answer....I don't know what to do. I don't want to get involve...I wish she didn't tell me.

I depends on the relationship. Some people have very open relationships to the point were sex with other people is ok. But if her relationship is "standard" nothing too out there, not that I'm saying people can't do what they want, then yes I would say it is. Has she talked to her husband about it? If not, there must be a reason why shes hiding it.

Don't get involved. If you tell the husband, he has two responses toward you -- he's grateful or he's angry. If he's grateful, that will only last until they've worked it out, then he'll be angry.

Cheating? No. Tacky and classless and an indication that she needs to work on her relationship with her husband ? Yes.

Her *justification* is the worst part. She may not be cheating yet, but she's definitely thinking about it.

Yep. It's cheating. No question. The fact that it he was "new" is a lame excuse. Flip it around and ask her how would she feel if she caught her husband "just kissing" another woman and how she would feel if he said, it was just because she was "new". Excuse me?! Yes, if she's married, she needs to be true. Focus on your marriage. If there's a problem, work on it. Don't make lame excuses for going back on your vows.

of course it's cheating. And by telling you about it, she has forced you into the moral dilemma...what are you going to do about it? Do you tell her husband?

Ask her how she would feel if the roles were reversed. Tonight it was "just a kiss". Next time, it could lead to an affair.

It's cheating. It's plain and simple to me.
Sounds like she wants to be like Bill Clinton and play a little loose with the definition of cheating. Who knows what she will justify next. Women try pretty hard to justify their cheating.

Yes it is. I am sure that her husband would think so. It is emotional cheating that can and probably will lead to physical cheating. She better decide what is important to her a little excitement or her marriage.

People have different boundaries but yes I would consider that cheating. It's hard when a friend confides a secret like that but just tell her you don't want to know things like that as it makes you uncomfortable.

Yes that's cheating, she shared something intimate with someone who was neither her boyfriend or husband. She's just trying to convince herself she did nothing wrong. Ask her if she's tell her husband, I bet she'll say no.

Yes this is adultery. Kissing that way is sexual in nature. She should be ashamed of her self and she should stop doing this and go back to her husband. She is breaking her wedding vows.
