First of all, sex isn't "sick" in any conceivable way, pun intended. Secondly intercourse is sex and so is casual sex. Casual sex means you have sex with people not expecting to form a long term committed relationship with them. Unless he's your "boyfriend" then it's casual sex. Intercourse is just another word, the technical term, for sex. It doesn't imply anything about who you're having sex with or why.

Sex is participating in ANY sexual activity; Be it manual stimulation, oral stimulation, anal, or intercourse. Intercourse is just one form of a sexual act. Sex and intercourse have been confused to mean the same thing for two main (and severly outdated) reasons. 1) Intercourse is the only kind of sex had by some people who find other sexual acts indecient and/or immoral. 2) Boys have long falsey implied that if they didn't have intercourse, that they did not have sex, in order to get girls to go 'all the way'. Intercourse can be sex, If it is the lone act. Sex can be had in a variety of ways that do not need to include intercourse.Sexual activity is sexual activity. Intercourse is but one piece to the puzzle. I hope this clears things up for you. Cheers :-)

All sex is intercourse. Casual sex is when it is with a stranger, or someone you sort of know, or a friend but not someone you are in love with.

And anyone old enough to ASK a question is old enough to find out the answer.

While I'm on the subject, here are some very good educational web sites you (and other people who read this question looking for help) might want to check out. As always, we'll fill in any gaps. Never be nervous about asking, we all had to learn.

Casual sex is when you have sex with someone just for the experience not because of romantic feelings or because you're in a long term relationship.
Intercourse is just a fancy name for sex in general. That can include all types of vaginal sex.

Casual sex is like a one-night stand, or no-string-attached-sex, the kind that usually leaves one or both parties hurt (your lecture of the day)
Intercourse is simply the act of sex; when the word's used alone, it means male-female regular sex.

I agree with Maria. Casual sex is intercourse as well, it's just usually considered to be "no strings attached"

Intercourse is just the politically correct term for the act of sex. It covers all kinds; casual, consentual and nonconsentual, and (for a lack of a better word [damn my brain!!!]) sex with lots of love.
Casual sex is sex for the sake of sex, not love or emotion. Kind of your "friends with benifits" thing, or a one night stand.
People are probably referring to "intercourse" as sex with lots of love. But its a term which covers everything.
Hope i helped.

intercourse- just a word for sex

casual sex- still sex, but it describes the sex a little more in that it's with someone that you do not expect a commitment from

intercourse is like the actual act of sex. however casual sex is generally just having sex with someone casually, not a lover, just a friend. no feelings attached sort of thing!
