I pack an outfit for each day I will be away. That way I don't over pack, but I have just what I need. I also pack two extra outfits that I consider dressy in case a suitable occasion should arise.

Definitely use a checklist, better safe then sorry. With the current economic status of the majority of the world, there's no point in spending unnecessary money on items you already own.

As I am a frequent traveller, due to my work, an accurate checklist seems to have formed in my subconscious mind - because of which I can correctly pack all that I'll be needing during a trip, in less than 10 minutes. And seldom miss packing anything that I would need.
Guess, practice makes perfect !

I have a mental checklist. I travel a lot, so I already know in my mind what essentials are needed on a trip.

Oooo, gotta have a check list! I usually don't make one up until a few days before I pack, but invariably, if I don't, I forget things.

Then I get irritated with myself. I don't like that feeling. So I make a checklist.

I start with a checklist. I end up with whatever 35 kilos will allow.

I am a seasoned traveler.

Instinctively, I know what to pack in my luggage.

Except for "pasalubong" for relatives and friends which I prepare several days before the travel date. I usually pack my luggage the day before or the travel day ( if the flight is in the afternoon ).

I would place all my stuff on top of my bed then check ( without a list ) before I put my stuff in the luggage.
