Definition
The log of a number to a given base is the index of the power to which the base must be raised in order to give the number.
Examples
10² = 100
log10 (100) = 2

2^4= 16
log2 (16) = 4

logx (4/5) = 1
x^1 = 4/5
x = 4/5

Convert into exponential form:
x^1 = 4/5
x = 4/5
