math Q:all the whole numbers with a digit of 2 are written in increasing order. The list begins 2, 20, 21, 22 .... Find the 1000th digit thus written. The answers you can choose from are A)6, B)7 C)8 D)9.. explainn your answer.. good luck.!

The 1000'th number is 1457.
I wrote a computer program to list all the numbers.

There are ninety 2-digit numbers utilising absolute values (ninety 9 minus the 1st 9 digits). In each and each block of 10, there is one that encompasses a 9. yeah you forgot 12. But... somewhere in that book where you got this question... is the formula that tells you how to get your answer. i remember doing problems like this, i just dont remember what the formula is... thats what happens to knowledge when its not exercised.
