I really enjoyed painting them [by them, I mean all two fire warriors], and I'd like to learn the rules, but it all seems time consuming and hard. I was wondering if this is a nice hobby to have, albeit it's very expensive. I really enjoy strategy
games like StarCraft, and C&C. So my questions are:
"Is it any fun?"
"Is it worth spending the cash on an army if I don't really make much?"
"Can I find anyone in Iowa to play with?"

I would say that the game is very fun to play. My boyfriend and his friend would play all the time. I even have my own army. The rules seem time consuming, but once you get up to speed, they're really easy.

Something that would make it even easier is if you looked into something like Army Builder (http://www.wolflair.com/). You design your army and it tells you what you can do and what rolls you need to do and all that.

As for finding anyone to play with you...the hobby store that we bought our armies from, they held tournaments. If you have something like that, I'm sure you could hang around and see if anyone would be interested in playing. The hobby store here had a room in the back with terrain and things like that so you could bring your armies in and play at the store.
