Why didn't the United State adopt a famous reformer of the criminal Justice system, prospectives of criminal law and the ways to deal with criminals. ( Gooles Cesare Beccaria if you don't know who he is ).

While Beccaria was way ahead of his times, an examination of many aspects of todays criminal justice system will show influences of the thinking that was behind his writings.

Perhaps they didn't agree with his arguments or conclusions.
