As a former President, Bill Clinton receives a pension equal to the annual salary of a Cabinet officer (currently $148,400/year). Besides that, he earned a substantial sum (about $12 million) for writing his memoirs and also gives speeches for significant appearance fees. So, on a professional basis, his job is really being a former President.
Beyond that he also runs the William J. Clinton Foundation, a humanitarian charity group.

Like many ex-Presidents, He is an international humanitarian traveling the globe and raising much-needed funds for under-developed nations.
Funds to improve standards of living, health facilities, educational institutions and environmental education among others.
Whether you like him or not, he is a very powerful worldwide figure who can and does raise a ton of money for whatever cause he chooses just by getting involved and lending his name and star power.
That is what Bill Clinton does for a living.
His novel, "My Life" earned him between 10-12 million dollars.
He earned 7.5 million dollars in speaking fees in 2005 and he needs an office and needs a staff to schedule his hectic schedule.
His office and staff are located in Harlem, New York.
He is no different in terms of scheduling needs than a Fortune 100 CEO with an executive staff.
He has no incorporated business and therefore no registered business name.

Mr. Clinton receives a pension equal to a Cabinet secretary for the rest of his life, plus lifetime Secret Service protection, the franking privilege (he can mail nonpolitical mail for free), a staff and office space.
This is the same set of benefits accorded to George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, Dwight Eisenhower, and Harry Truman.
It's covered under the Former Presidents Act.
He does NOT receive "his President's pay for life." He receives the pay of a Secretary of a cabinet department.
The office and staff is because former Presidents are besieged with correspondence and requests for the rest of their lives.

He lives off the adoration of those that gained power and wealth through back door deals made with Him. They are hoping to repeat the back door bonanza when Hillary gets to the oval office. As he jets around the world pushing ecology like Gore and aid to the starving and dying people of the world His real objective might well be picking up the residual payments form those He permitted to rip off the US. Especially his Chinese friends that He gave our global positioning system information along with other vital information to in exchange for 96 election funding.

This is an interesting question. He gives speeches and gets paid thousands of dollars. He wrote a book and got paid millions of dollars. He manages to stay in the newspapers which maintains his celebrity status. Whatever he does, it sure is working for him.

You know he is still collecting a paycheck from the Government, don't you? That's all part of the "grand retirement" that the President's are entitled to.
In my opinion, he should give it all back!!!
