Are they the best or is it all about the offensive line period! Emmit ran thru huge holes and Tom Brady can call the 800-whos your daddy hotline before throwing.

In so many sports, one can shine without good team mates. But football is so cruel to the great talent who is surrounded by a mediocre team. All of this certainly makes the sport interesting.

First and foremost there are reasons why those two were the only two with more yards than 380: 1)injury (Stokley and Clark) 2)game plan (that seemed to work very well) 3) last year the colts used a 2 Rb system and the yards were split there, 4)These two guys are elite players in the NFL; in fact many commentators have said that if Reggie Wayne were on another team he would be the number 1 WR And to answer another thing on here the Colts led the league in Sacks Given up their front five on Offense is so good that most other teams gawk at them and would love to have any one of those guys. How many other Qb's in the league can say that they have won more than one game by throwing to a OT? (Klecko)... The next time you think of dissing on Peyton Manning remember who is wearing the most recent SB ring, and which team got beat by the same team that lost to the SB CHAMPS! With that said I will agree that Brees is a great player and still is developing but he will be lucky to scrape the mud off of the MVP's cleats, come on how many records does Peyton Manning have to break to be the "real deal", he has already surpassed Dan Marino by winning the SB, and holds numerous other QB records that prove that he is the real deal and has been for almost a decade! And to call anyone's SB Trophy a joke when you are rooting for a team that isnt proven itself is just crazy talk.

The QBs and RBs are the most skilled players on the team... AT THEIR POSITION. However, I don't care HOW good your QB or RB is, if the O-line sucks, then you'll never know how good he is. On second thought, if you have a great O-line and a horrible QB you're not going to go anywhere.

My point is that this is not a game of individuals. It's a team game. There are 11 guys on each side of the ball. No ONE of them wins or loses the game.

Running Backs and Quarter Backs are in fact the real deal, but they're only as good as the other 10 guys on the field.

I can tell you it is hard to be a superstar with no Line. On offense if you are a QB you can't pass well if you have the defense on top of you 1 second after you snap the ball and that means that receivers are not going to get the ball either. Yes there are a few backs out there that do well in spite of a poor O-Line, but it is hard to rush well if there is nowhere to go.

On the D side. If the D-Line isn't putting pressure on the O-Line the linebackers and secondary are going to have to work a lot harder.

Good question. I tend to look at it as both being equally important. What good is having a good QB when the O-line can't give him time in the pocket? What good is a good O-line when you have a QB who holds the ball to long or can't find the open receivers. Now, can a good O-line make a QB look good or can a good QB make an O-line look good? Sure, but thats not the case for the most part. QB's get most of the credit and criticism but it's a team sport.

There is no I in team. I believe every position in football has a purpose. I think the lineman are extremely important to provide holes for the running back or full back, and for providing protection for the quarterback.

LINEMEN ARE FOOTBALL! without them your team cannot pass, run, block passes, block runs, or pressure the QB. Look at the Giants, (my fav team) they suck, but the Defensive line keeps that loser Eli in the game. The O line in Dallas has won 11 games so far (or maybe 10 i can't remember). Without those big boys, Tony Romo is David Carr.

Football is a team game. No one player is any good without the others on both sides of the ball.

its about the realtionship between the offensive line and the running back...if the rb wants the hole he'll get it. Walter payton is the only running back who had moves.

QBs are about attitude
