Start at
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
Enter FULL model name of laptop
Follow links to the driver download.
Can't find it, Email HP Support, ASK THEM if they HAVE XP drivers for that video chipset. If laptop has never been released with XP, they MIGHT NOT have written drivers for it !

check in the bios of the computer that the graphics is enabled. there is a chance that you need to install "intel chipset" software for XP so that the parts of your hardware are detected. look on the hp support page for any drivers for your laptop for xp.

its good you know the model of your graphics card. you can search for that on driverguide.com. the driver you need should be there.
