Try pressing CTRL + ALT + lef or right arrow, works on SOME video cards,
if not, the right click desktop, select properties, and look for option in driver.

at the bottom of the monitor, there should be some buttons(only works for desktops computers). one of them should say something like menu. press this one and a list of options comes up, find the one that rotates the image. It varies depending on the brand of monitor. It may take a while.

A simpler way is (if your son did it intentionally), is to threaten him with loss of priviledges(i.e., no car/ipod/computer etc.) until he fixes it

You have to press all three keys at once

Ctrl Alt Up arrow - right side up

Ctrl Alt Right arrow - 90 degrees

Ctrl Alt Down arrow - 180 degrees

Ctrl Alt Left arrow - 270 degrees

Alternate key combination(Ctrl Shift R)

go to control panel and see if you have an icon named IntelGMA driver if you do open that and look for rotation tab
