People believe in Jesus because He is real, alive and they have come to know Him; He works in the lives of many people. He's my savior and Lord, and has come between me and disaster many times. Most people stop believing in the tooth fairy when they are in the 2nd or 3rd grade.

Why do People Believe In Jesus or the Tooth Fairy?
I mean come on, I ask because every night i lose yet another tooth from sucking on something too hard. That's how i got my handle, "Tooth Fairy".
I knew i should have just listened to Jesus, then this wouldn't of happened to me.

The tooth Fairy is what they where grown up with and that is what they where taught although I was never. Then they believe in Jesus because he was a real person and has provided us a hope for the future.

None of us Christians can really explain WHY we believe in Christ or how we know He's the Savior because it comes from a spiritual witness. It's not something we can prove. And NO ONE believes in the Tooth Fairy, except children under the age of ten. Surely, you knew that. I mean, come on.

When you were 6 years old you believed that Santa climbed down a billion chimneys doling out gifts all in one night. A few years later you kicked yourself for being so stupid.
Religious people never progressed past the age of 6.

I guess it all depends of what you are lead to believe is plausible. Most of the devout believers I've known came from tight-knit and rather "sheltered" communities of fellow believers... they've never really seen non-belief as an option.

Mark, there is historical evidence for the existance of a person named Jesus Christ. Whether you think He is the son of God or not is a matter of faith.

because it's easier to believe than to fear... easier to lie than to face reality, i believe people who believe in Jesus lose their fear to 4 example death or feel like they are protected... i wish i had something to truly be live in, to bad.
and the tooth fairy is similar, you cover pain and ugliness (children with no tooth really look ugly) with the comfort of a prize.
people believe in what makes their life easier, what gives something back that's just human nature and selfishness
