Hello everyone, I'm a 17 year old girl, soon to be 18 in January of 08, and I have been recently been experiencing random sexual arousal. This sort of thing will occur while I'm at school or at home. I've asked a few girl friends about it, but they were either unsure to too uncomfortable to really give me any advice on what I should do. Is this sort of thing natural or common in other women? I've heard that men experience this problem, but I didn't think women were the same way, until recently, that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been very confused about exactly what my body has been doing recently.

Heck yea they are normal. Women like sex just as much as men do. Women associate sex differently. I had sex one time in the back of a truck in the fall, it was pretty memorable and almost every time fall comes rolling around I remember and I'm always a little bit more horny during the very beginning of fall. I just associate that crisp air with a good feeling. That is probably why you are experiencing random arousal. You are associating something and you are not even conscious of it.

It is VERY normal. I'm 19 and I find myself randomly aroused all the time. There is nothing wrong with that. Women love sex, I know I do, just as much as men. Just be glad that we can hide it a lot easier then men can. It is nothing to be embarrassed about or ashamed. It is perfectly normal and you should enjoy it!
Not to get too personal on you, but masturbation helps release that built up sexual tension. There is nothing wrong with masturbation either. It is perfectly healthy and most people (men AND women) do it, many people just deny it.

Random? OMG yes, it's completely natural. At least it's easier to hide than what the guys get. Don't worry about it, just keep calm and try to ignore it when you're around people.

depends what you mean when you say arousal, do you mean just getting horny? cause of course thats normal, but if you should clarify what you're asking.

Ye it's normal i get it and i'm 15, pretty annoying sometimes. don't worry it's just hormones.
