Yeah it dies, the time depends on where it is.

If you ejaculate is exposed to air (outside the body) the sperms usually die when the semen dries up completely. How long this takes depends on the humidity and other factors but it's not usually very long, maybe half an hour to a few hours.

Inside the vagina is different though, it can actually live for a few days.
