I live with my dad and my mom lives somewhere else. Sometimes, when I tell people this, someone else who overheard the conversation will mishear this and automatically assume that my mom is dead. Just because I live with 1 parent doesn't mean the other is dead. My mom is still alive, she just lives with some other guy.
