i have been takeing sudeafed nasal decongestion and i took 2 at 6a.m and 2 more at noon and two more right now! but i read the box and it says take no morethan 4 within 24 hours! am i going to be okay?

Oh you will be fine but don't go driving or nothing. If you are healthy you should be okay and cold medicine only masks your symptoms so you can function your body heals itself. There are over 212 different cold strains so you never get the same cold you body is immune to the last one it has but then a different mutated strain hits and you get sick. If you really think about it, no two colds are the same. I hope you feel better!

In an otherwise young, healthy individual, this shouldn't be a problem. Sudafed can raise your blood pressure, and this is a particular problem if you already have high blood pressure. If this is the case, you might want to measure your pressure if you have a cuff at home. Another side effect you may experience (in proportion to dose) would be shakiness or palpitations (sensation of skipped or racing heart beats). If you experience feeling shaky, it should resolve after no more than a few hours, provided you avoid another dose for at least 6 hours. Palpitations should be checked by a physician unless they are simple, occasional, isolated "skipped beats". So, as long as you don't have the signs or symptoms I've mentioned, you shouldn't have a problem. Make sure you stick to the recommended dose of this and any medication unless your physician directs you otherwise.

It might raise your blood pressure. Do you have high blood pressure?
Sudafed can make some people feel over stimulated & wired. You might have trouble sleeping.
It's always a good idea to look at the box or bottle when you're taking meds that you're not familiar with.

Yes I think you are going to be fine if you are not having any kind of bad reaction you should be fine. Just slow down the dosage.

my dad is a pharmacist and he said you'll be fine... but he said just to make sure: only take 2-3 tommorrow, then you can start your regular dosage!

i think you should contact your doctor this could be a problem, your body can only take so much.
