I would recommend using a program called DVDDecrypter. It is fairly simple to use, is free, and is very small. You first create an iso image of the source dvd, then you can record that iso image to a blank dvd.
Here are instructions, it really is quite simple
to copy DVD using dvddecryptor,
have a DVD you want to copy in drive.
Open program
click Mode, Iso, Read
now click the folder icon under destination,
select where you want to save the dvd image you will extract
click save.
If you did that part right, you will see Green Button
click that.
After a few minutes it will finish.
Now you are ready to burn this iso to a blank DVD.
Insert blank disc
click Mode, Iso, Write
click folder icon under source
find and select the iso file you just created.
you should see a green button below, click that to burn the DVD
it really is that simple.

You don`t need another copying program use the NTI disc writer that is installed on your Acer, with there being only one drive it will first make a copy to your hard-drive, then you can make as many copies of the film you want, when you have got your copy i would remove the one on the hard drive to save space.

Nero can copy DVDs but if you're gonna copy Original DVD movies & such, they're encripted so Nero won't copy them. for that purpose, you may use Alcohol 120% or DVDclone. you may download them from Filehippo.com.

you cant copy movie dvd's. home made dvd's u can try using nero or roxio. NOT BOTH. they use different drivers to operate your burner drives. they will confuse windows and cause ur drives not to work at all.
