May not even need to get a battery. Just jump start it and then go for a 15 minute drive (i'd recommend half an hour) and then return home. Switch off engine, then restart. Should work. Batteries are quite strong and usually have a 5 year shelf life (avg) so I doubt replacing a battery that soon would be required (seeing as your car is a 2006 model)

There's so many good answers here, and they all have their place, but I really doubt that a 1 year old battery that goes dead in an hour is going to hold a charge. I'm guessing there's a dead cell, or your alternator is bad and isn't recharging the battery. If either is the case, it will let you down again if you just charge it. Just my opinion. I'd hate for you to get stranded because a charge didn't work. Corrosion around the terminals is a possibility too, but again, not very likely on a 1 year old vehicle.

WARNING! Some newer cars can be seriously damaged by jump starting. Some automobiles computer modules can be fried and some vehicles alternators can be damaged if it tries to charge a battery that is too weak. The safest procedure is to recharge or replace the battery.
Even triple A will not jump start most newer cars.
Not as simple as it used to be.

To have your car start immediately - or soon - you need to have someone with jumper cables "give you a jump". Leaving the lights on drained the battery. If you can wait it out, the battery will charge itself back up over time. I would ask someone to use the jumper cables just to give the battery a boost then perhaps when you have time and can make it to a shop like Auto Zone or Pep Boys, have them hook up the battery and see if it's time to get a new one.
Car troubles are the worse. I hope everything works out - and I hope it's not cold where you are.
Best of luck -

You might not need a new battery. I used to this all the time. I mean it got so bad, one time the towing service came to my door to tell me I left my lights on just to save me a service call. And that is true. You need to get a boost. Sometimes the battery will revive itself, but one too many times and that battery will be done for.
I used to lock my keys in the truck too. OMG What was wrong with me???

For now just jump the battery. But definitely get to Sears in the next 24-48 hours and have them take a look at it. You should not need a new battery this fast. My guess is a loose (or corroded) cable connection. Either eay Sears has great batteries and they guarantee them all.

Nah, no need to replace the battery, just leave your lights off for an hour. The lights will absorb ambient photonic energy and convert it to pure battery.
Good Luck

No, you just ran the battery down by leaving the lights on. Get a jump and let your car run for at least 20 minutes, it will be fine.
