There are a lot of currency exchangers in the cities so you can bring in your local currency. However, before heading to the provinces whre most of tourists go because of the fine beaches, be sure that you have your peso bills.

US dollars, its little more difficult to convert Euros and Pounds Sterling.

Its still best to convert to Philippine Pesos once you have reached you hotel.

Don't exchange money in the airport. You can get a better exchange rate outside the airport and outside the hotel.

I believe it would be the US dollars. It is the most convenient to be changed here. I mean, we have money changers and banks here. BUt the US currency still reigns supreme in popularity.

Though I must say, the exchange rate for it now is no longer that high as compared to before.

Enjoy!

still the US dollars.

but during the christmas season or even ever since the peso started gaining on the dollar, it is wiser now to convert to php immediately & just bring pesos there. for it will ensure that you would have exchanged your foreign currency at a higher rate of exchange. & that you will always have pesos on hand.
the drawback is that it is more bulky.

anyway, hope that helps.

US dollars. And just about everyone knows its value. If you happen to be in a remote resort, they wouldn't be able to convert your pounds or Euros, and won't even recognize the currency.

Filipinos know a dollar bill when they see one.
