The Sega Genesis is a completely different system than the first Nintendo console. The first Nintendo was the Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES. Here is a picture of a NES:

Sega is a different console all-together, in fact Sega and Nintendo were quite the rivals back in the day.

Um, the Sega Genesis isn't a Nintendo console. It's a Sega console. And it's not the first Sega console either.

It's probably worth about $10. You could maybe find the wires to connect it to the TV and controllers on eBay or Amazon.

Yup it was the NES, but it was called FAMICOM in Japan, they changed the name because of marketing reasons.
