Dear Amy,
Gender dysphoriea is about who you are on the inside and how you live your life... not about your choice of sex partners. In fact IF you ask the doctor for gender reassignment based on the fact that you like sleeping with members of the same gender... you'd be denied surgery
And yes I know several M2F persons that identify as lesbian. Now if only the lesbian community wold believe them.
Hugs,
PennyAnn

If they have been changed to the opposite sex, then no - they are a man that likes women or vice versa. But most of the time, transexuals are individuals that are heterosexual that happen to still like the same sex when the change is complete that they did before the change. So men that love women and become a woman still will like women, so they become gay, I guess. The sex that someone is has nothing to do with what sex they are attracted to; the sex they are attracted to has everything to do with the label that we give them.

No matter what they do with the out side of their bodies. It does not change their DNA. They still have the Gender defind chromosomes that make them who they are. If your male you have an XY, Female is XX. There for no matter what they have done to their outer appearance, they are still having same sex relations.

They are considered part of the LGBT community, yes, which people would classify under the gay category I guess.

No, being transexual has nothing to do with sexual preference.
