Men are so very proud of their sexual prowess, endeavors, and just sexual ability in general. It was a passage of rites for a young man to have his first sexual encounter with an older woman, who showed him what and how to do everything.
Women(girls) also had their first sexual encounter with a sexually proven man, who would show her everything...in order for her to make her mate happy. BUT, let that woman find another man, other than her mate, and she was either driven out of the clan, or killed...she was also shamed in the highest forms to be had.
To this day, the cave thinking is still with us...men are proud of their sexuality, Women have a deep seated fear of 'being kicked out of the clan'(which meant probable starvation and death by predators), so 'slut' is a feared word for us.
In modern days, women have used this term so much, to describe a woman of loose morals, that it is a high insult.

The really question here is: Why is it OK for males to have sex with multiple people and its not for females?
I think personally that the word slut is used way too much and not for the correct meaning!
I was called a slut when I was only 15 and didn't even know what it meant. Because I was not that kinda girl who you could actually call that to.

The term slut is typically used in regards to females. It isn't really an accurate term for males. The double standard at its best. When used toward a male it is basically a joke.

The female gender has been "blessed" with many names. S!ut, ho, whore, bi!ch...all refer to girls. Why should a guy be upset if he is called a name that refrences to a girl?

i mean i wouldnt say females dont care if they are called a s lut
but i would say in college you can aviod people saying that (if its a big school)
but as a female i dont care if im called a s lut because its lost its meaning
