yes , becuase lonliness is a state of mind , how many times were you surrounded by many people you love and you felt lonely ??

I guess it depends on how you define friendship, and the world.
Simple answer or what I believe is, yes you would still be lonely even if you had the friendship of every person in the world.

I have seldom been lonely for friendships. Occasionally for a special woman, but not friends.

I could not handle all the people in the world.
The few friends I have are pleanty.
I don't think anyone could be friends with everyone.
