I would suppose that if a Black swallow tail caterpillar ever ate a Black swallow tail butterfly then yes that would be a cannibalistic act since a caterpillar is a juvenile to the butterfly. I would even suppose that as long as it is a butterfly caterpillar eating a butterfly and not a moth Caterpillar eating a butterfly then it would still be considered cannibalistic. However, as we are all aware, caterpillar are herbivores and would most certainly never be carnivores. Hypothetically speaking, a caterpillar eating a butterfly would make it a cannibalistic Insectivore.

NO, THE CATERPILLAR HAS NOT METAMORPHOSIZED INTO A BUTTERFLY. THEREFORE A CATERPILLAR IS NOT A BUTTERFLY AND A BUTTERFLY IS NOT A CATERPILLAR SO IF ONE EATS THE OTHER THEY ARE CARNIVORES.

Although it wouldn't happen, my two cents say yes, it would. That's an interesting brain you have there.
