What ideas and legal reasons did the Court useto cut short or reduce the exclusionary rule in the cas of Mapp v. Ohio?

They didn't, just the opposite is true.

In Mapp, the Supreme court dramatically expanded the exclusionary rule, by finding that it applied to cases in State courts, as well as those in Federal Courts.
